Focused on Water Management

Sustainable improvement of water quality of the urban environment has been the main topic of the Festival of Architecture (February 26-29 2020) together with Environmentally Friendly Building challenges. The new program of the Building Fair Brno 2020 brought together experts and projects of sustainable construction, introduced a functional solution for the future and opened an interesting discussion.

The HUTIRA group was asked to become a partner of this event and to contribute to the discussion. Petr Hajný, Executive Director of HUTIRA-VISION, gave a lecture on “Building, Treatment and Operation of Local Drinking Water Sources” in the section dedicated to water management and utility/drinking water technology. The lecture was focused primarily on the small water supply facilities that are built by the HUTIRA-VISION company.

In the event, we could present some of our solutions including a special mobile water treatment plant for crisis situations, the WATER CAT 500 treatment plant for small local resources and a small water meter shaft Modulo. Thanks to its unique design, it is currently one of the best selling shafts on the Czech market. The visitors have expressed a great interest in our products and we have also gained new contacts.

As part of the Architecture Festival program, a “Memorandum for Reduction of Emissions in Brno City” was signed on 27 February 2020. In the document, 28 important entities confirmed their commitment including universities, manufacturers, shopping centers and developers. The aim of the memorandum is to improve micro-climatic conditions in Brno and to fulfill the commitment set by the Council of Mayors focused on sustainable energy and climate.

Our company will take part in the initiative in cooperation with the Department of the Environment of the South Moravian Region.
