The Czechia lags behind in biomethan. Farmers from Litomyšl will be among the first to start delivering it to the pipeline
Approximately 550 biogas stations produce electricity and heat in the Czech Republic. By cleaning the biogas obtained by processing biomass or waste, it is also possible to obtain biomethane – a gas whose composition is comparable to natural gas. In its plans to reduce dependence on fossil resources, the European Commission is therefore counting on it a lot in the future. While in the countries of Western Europe, over the past year and a half, around three hundred biogas producing biomethane have been added, the Czechia is following this trend only very slowly.
