More biomethane is needed. But what are the real possibilities here?

While in the Czech Republic biogas is used in most cases to produce electricity and heat, many Western European countries purify it in large quantities to the quality of natural gas, so-called biomethane. The first projects of this type are already operating in the Czech Republic and allow biomethane to be pumped into the gas system or used, for example, as fuel in transport. This is also why, according to experts, biomethane stations in the country will be located near large cities in the coming years.
