Symgas 2025 will focus on hydrogen, biomethane, and technical standards
The Symgas 2025 gas conference once again brought a diverse mix of technical novelties, expert insights, and practical solutions for the present and future of the gas industry, thus confirming its position as a key professional platform for sharing the latest knowledge in the field of gas engineering. And because we closely monitor developments in the industry, we certainly did not miss this opportunity to gain new knowledge and professional experience.
Discussions on the possibilities of seasonal storage of H₂ and CO₂, the readiness of distribution networks for new gases, as well as practical experiences with connecting biomethane plants confirmed that the transformation of the gas industry is dynamically underway and that previously established approaches are gradually being successfully changed.
We actively contributed to this year’s program with a professional presentation on the topic of “Connecting Biomethane Plants to the Gas Network,” in which Radek Kundrata, managing director of HUTIRA s.r.o., presented findings from previously implemented projects for injecting biomethane into the gas network. The audience was able to learn how different gas distributors require different requirements for connection to their network. The presentation also included a comparison of conditions in the Czech Republic and in various countries in Europe and the world, and specific possible directions for the development of this sector were also mentioned.
Symgas 2025 clearly showed that the water (and especially hydrogen) is certainly being stirred up in the stagnant gas industry waters – and it was very valuable to see the direction the sector is heading and what challenges and opportunities await us in the very near future.
